As a leading manufacturer of printers (include wireless laser printers), Canon always produces new models of printers, one of the new models is the Canon Pixma MG 5170. The printer that is included in the group of all in one photo printer uses inkjet technology.

Printer Canon Pixma MG 5170 has 3 functions at once, as a printer, scanner and copier. This printer is able to print black-and-white documents at speeds up to approx. 9.7ipm, while for its speed color document approx. 6.1ipm, with resolution up to 9600 x 2400dpi (max.).

Canon Pixma MG 5170 printer can print photos with a size 4 x 6 “(4R) with no border within approx. 39 seconds. And it can be used to print a document / photo up to the size of A4. These printers use a technology called Chromalife 100+ so it can produce photos that can last up to 300 years if stored in proper conditions. Hybrid systems technology is also applied to this printer, so that the black pigment ink ensures sharp black text and lines.

Printer Canon Pixma MG 5170 is able to scan with a resolution up to 1200 x 2400dpi CIS, and can be used to scan directly to flash drives and memory cards and save as pdf or jpg. It takes aprox. 20 secs to the first page of color copy comes out. To copy the next page may take aprox. 12.2 secs (4.9cpm).

Canon Pixma MG 5170 printer uses individual ink cartridges, the cartridges are PGI-725 Pigment Black, CLI-726 Cyan, CLI-726 Magenta, CLI-726 Yellow, CLI-726 Black.

Canon Pixma MG 5170 printer is equipped with Pictbridge then allows you to print photos directly from digital cameras and camera phones. This printer is also equipped with LCD (2.4 inches / 6.0cm TFT color), making it easier when printing photos without a PC connected to. You can also connect the printer to a PC using a USB cable.
